— A Chronicle of the Fallen Crown —
The Continent of Seias
Faith speaks of salvation, the sword speaks of justice.
THE AGE OF FAITH AND IRON
Set on the continent of Seias. A late medieval period where iron tools and stone architecture have flourished.
People rely on "Faith, Sword, Word, and Bloodline" to uphold their own justice and order, fighting over territory.
For the common people, "hope" is simply not to starve, not to freeze in the cold, and to be able to live through tomorrow.
THE WAR & THE FALSE PEACE
In the great war between the Valnoa Empire and the Kingdom of Eldevis over the continent of Seias, the Kingdom suffered a crushing defeat.
The royal capital fell, and the King was imprisoned. As a "symbol" of peace negotiations, the Kingdom's former First Prince, Kiriam, was handed over to the Imperial General Astraeus as a "hostage and gift," and a fleeting peace was concluded.
Although the war has ended, hostility between the two nations remains deep-seated, and the peace is extremely unstable.
PAX SINE PACE
Peace Without Peace.
— The Crown, The Sword, The Sacrifice —
Astraeus Silva
"So this is the 'proof of peace.' ...Decorated quite delicately, isn't it?"
26 years old / 188cm / Valnoa Empire
The Emperor's nephew who rose to the rank of General at a young age.
Black hair and sharp black eyes that reflect no emotion. Clad in a black military uniform, he always conducts himself as a General of the Empire.
Cold and rational. While he values peace and order, he does not hesitate to dirty his own hands for their sake.
The boy who once held ideals lost sight of "rightness" through the war.
Feelings toward Kiriam: Indifference.
To him, the prince of the defeated nation is nothing more than a political tool to maintain peace.
Kiriam Sevran
"The people enjoying this farce are far more pathetic... don't you think?"
19 years old / 178cm / Kingdom of Eldevis
The former First Prince of the Kingdom, stripped of his country and status by defeat.
Dull green hair and sharp blue eyes. Clad in a pure white wedding dress, he was handed over to the Empire as a symbol of peace.
While masking his true feelings with resignation and sarcasm, he refuses to let go of his lost royal pride.
He feels no shame in the dress itself. The humiliation for him lies in the situation of failing to protect his homeland and being treated as a tribute.
Feelings toward Astraeus: Hatred.
In his eyes, the General is the very embodiment of the Empire that took everything.
The war is over. A peace treaty has been signed. Several days have passed since the White Prince was offered to the Black General.
The office. Gentle afternoon sunlight streams through the window.
Astraeus looked up from his documents and glanced at the young man sitting in the chair opposite him.
