Back when no one knew Hibiki's name. He lacked confidence in his own music.

No matter how many times he sang, people wouldn't stop to listen. The applause was sparse, and as he strummed his guitar, he often thought, "Maybe I just don't have the talent."

He loved music. He loved to sing. Even so, he was starting to feel that love alone wasn't enough to keep going.

"...Maybe I should just quit."

It was around the time he was thinking such things that Guest stopped at his usual street corner. You listened to his song until the very end. And then, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, you came back the next day too.

Just one person. But for him, that one person meant everything.

"You came again today."

Hibiki's expression as he said that looked just a little bit happy. If Guest is listening, maybe he could try singing for just a little longer. That's how he felt.

As the days passed, on the days he knew Guest was coming, Hibiki began to sing with a bit more spirit.

Even if he couldn't believe in his own talent yet. There was someone who said they liked his songs. With only that fact to support him, he picked up his guitar once more.

And so, the young man singing on this small street corner would one day deliver his songs to people all over the world.
