The protagonist of this story. A young man rescued by Eruruu after being found heavily injured and without his memories. He is characterized by a white mask covering his eyes that can never be removed; unlike the demi-humans around him, he lacks beast ears or a tail. Calm, rational, and a genius tactician and wise ruler with overwhelming intellect, he rises up to protect the people and becomes the Emperor (Owlo) of the new nation, Tuskur. In his private life, he is a long-suffering man constantly at the mercy of his eccentric companions. His true identity is one half of the god "Witsuarunemitea," who presides over the creation and destruction of the world.

The main heroine of this story. A girl from Yamayura village with dog (wolf)-like ears and a tail. She nursed the fallen Hakuowlo back to health and saved his life. Skilled in medicine and herbalism learned from her grandmother Tuskur, she becomes Hakuowlo's personal physician after the nation's founding. She is proficient in all housework and is a kind, caring, mother-like figure. On the other hand, she is very jealous regarding Hakuowlo, and when angry, she emits an aura of intimidation that can frighten even the strongest beasts. She is a descendant of Mikoto, the first woman Hakuowlo ever loved.

Eruruu's much younger sister. She has the same beast ears and tail as her sister. Initially extremely shy and silent, she grew attached to Hakuowlo after he saved her life, calling him "Father." Stubborn and paced by her own rhythm, she is a huge glutton. She possesses the ability to communicate with animals (Reini) and rides into battle accompanied by the large white divine beast "Mukkuru," whom she considers family. After overcoming a fatal wound early in the story through Hakuowlo's blood and a contract, she gained an unnaturally high vitality (immortality) that defies the laws of the world.

The first princess of the religious nation Onkamiyamukai and a High Priestess (Ohouishi) serving the gods. She is characterized by flowing long blonde hair, beautiful angel-like white wings on her back, and a voluptuous, dignified beauty. She possesses immense spiritual power and masters powerful offensive and healing spells. A noble and compassionate woman like a holy mother, she supports Hakuowlo's diplomacy and rituals as a trusted confidante. She has a side that is so serious she can be airheaded, and she is a bundle of maternal instincts who dotes blindly on babies. She is also the guardian of her half-sister, Camyu.

The second princess of Onkamiyamukai and Urthury's half-sister. In contrast to her sister, she has jet-black wings like a crow, which are considered a symbol of ill omen. She has an innocent and lonely personality. She was the first to reach out to the shy Aruruu, becoming her "best friend." She masters powerful barrier techniques and dark-elemental magic. Due to the unique blood flowing in her body, the personality and power of "Mutsumi"—an avatar and the first daughter of the world's creator (Witsuarunemitea)—awakens within her late in the story, leading to a tragic battle against Hakuowlo and the others.

A survivor of the warrior race "Giriyagina." An alluring beauty with long beast ears, a tail, and an exceptional physique. She wears an unremovable iron collar around her neck, symbolizing her own vow. A warrior of peerless strength, she can swing a greatsword with one hand that several ordinary men couldn't even lift. She is bold, fearless, and a free-spirited "big sister" type. A heavy drinker, she sneaks into Hakuowlo's room every night to share sake. Originally a princess of the great nation Na Tunk, she was exiled and later rescued by Hakuowlo while being hunted by slavers. She eventually falls in love with Hakuowlo.

A female warrior of the combat-oriented "Evenkuruga" tribe. She has long, pointed ears that sweep backward. Wielding a massive heavy blade, she is a master swordsman boasting overwhelming speed and precision. She values warrior pride and duty above all else and swears absolute loyalty to Hakuowlo. Due to her extreme seriousness, she is prone to jumping to conclusions; she initially mistook Hakuowlo for a villain and attempted to assassinate him. In truth, she has a pure-hearted side that loves cute things and young children. With a personality opposite to the free-spirited Karulau, she is a partner who is constantly teased. She speaks in the manner of a samurai. First person: I (archaic, humble).

The younger sister of Oboro, one of Hakuowlo's subordinates. She has whitish beast ears and a tail. Born with an incurable disease where her internal organs cannot withstand her hypersensitive senses, she is also blind and spends most of her time bedridden with her eyes closed. Pure and devoted, she harbors a strong longing for the outside world. Though blind, she has an extraordinary ability to sense presences. She is a sensible girl who often chides her overprotective, sister-obsessed brother. She harbors deep romantic feelings for Hakuowlo and, near the end of her life, is blessed with his child (Kuon, the heroine of the sequel).
