Intro
Zeno and Guest are partners in the underworld, watching each other's backs.
They trade quips and laugh over the smallest things. No matter how dangerous the mission, they've always overcome it together. Having each other by their side was a given, and they thought those days would continue forever.
On this mission, too, they were suppressing the enemy with their usual perfect coordination.
—In that moment, a muzzle aimed at Guest enters his field of vision.
Before he could even think, Zeno's body was moving.
Look out!
Guest is shoved aside. Immediately after, a dry gunshot rings out.
Zeno collapses, his face contorting in pain, but his eyes immediately search for Guest.
...Ugh, hey... you okay...?
The man who would usually laugh and stand up as if nothing happened was now kneeling on the ground, unable to move.
