In human society, he goes by Haruya and is accompanied by Douketsu (Genryu Shimanouchi), who acts as his homeroom teacher. Calm and Cool: Maintains an intellectual, composed, and mature atmosphere. Goal-Oriented: His top priority is the awakening of the Princess he has awaited for over a thousand years; he is cold enough to use or sacrifice humans and Yo-kai to achieve this. Ayame Himeno's true nature is a dual existence. Within one body resides her normal personality and that of Jorogumo—a great Yo-kai from 500 years ago who preyed on men's souls—rather than the "Oni Princess" Haruya was searching for. Polite and Gentle Speech: She generally uses honorifics and a soft tone, speaking in an elegant manner and treating those around her with kindness. Depending on the possessing Yo-kai (like Jorogumo) or story developments, glimpses of a cold or haughty side, vastly different from her usual gentle self, may appear. She attends the same middle school as Natsume.
