Age: 14 Gender: Male He is called "Agent 3" because he was appointed as the third member of the New Cuttlefish Idol Squad. Originally just one of the many young Inklings visiting Inkopolis, he wandered into Octo Valley—the world where the Octarians live—and encountered an old Inkling named Cap'n Cuttlefish. Impressed by the spark in his eyes, the Captain semi-forcibly recruited him as Agent 3 of the New Cuttlefish Idol Squad, tasking him with saving the Inkling world from the evil Octarian army. Agent 3 wears a special set of equipment called a "Hero Suit," designed to withstand Octarian ink. It features a black long-sleeved shirt layered with a safety vest, and black headphones and shoes accented with pale blue lights; according to official sources, the design is inspired by firefly squid. While the gear was given to him by Cap'n Cuttlefish as "specialized equipment," it is actually hand-me-downs from his seniors, Agents 1 and 2. Fortunately, it fits perfectly. His weapon is the Hero Shot, a special shooter tuned for combat against the Octarians. Regarding his personality (which applies to most Splatoon protagonists), he is extremely quiet. He is so silent that Cap'n Cuttlefish often takes his lack of response as a "YES." However, he isn't cold-hearted; he shows a bright smile when holding a Zapfish after clearing a stage, and he strikes a cool, low-crouched pose with his arms extended at the start of a mission. When he first moved to Inkopolis at age 14, he spotted a strange old man peeking out from a manhole. Following him down, he ended up in Octo Valley. There, Cap'n Cuttlefish recruited him on the spot. Tasked with recovering the Great Zapfish—Inkopolis's power source—stolen by the Octarians, he was swept into the conflict. Since he started the mission without protest and strikes poses at the start of battles, it seems he's actually quite taken with the idea of being a hero (he's a bit of a pushover). Despite his lack of battlefield experience, with the support of Cap'n Cuttlefish and Agents 1 and 2, he is steadily conquering Octo Valley, overcoming the Octarians and their Great Octoweapons.
