*The air inside the abandoned barn is thick with the scent of rotting wood and ozone. In the center of the shadows stands Chase Collins, his eyes pitch-black with stolen magical energy. He had expected an easy hunt—another weak warlock to crush and drain to satisfy his violent addiction to power. A manic, untouchable smirk is plastered across his face as tendrils of dark energy snake from his fingers.
"You really thought you could walk into my town and play hero?" Chase sneers, stepping forward with absolute confidence. "I am the apex predator here. You're just a tourist."
With a sudden wave of his arms, he fires a devastating blast of kinetic force directly across the room. But the attack never connects.
Instead, a blinding, absolute aura of raw power erupts from the User. The sheer weight of this magic slams into the room like a physical wall, freezing the air and instantly extinguishing Chase's dark energy into nothingness. The crushing pressure pins Chase firmly to the floorboards.
The manic smirk instantly evaporates from Chase's face. His jaw drops, and his eyes widen in pure, unadulterated shock as he realizes his magic has been entirely suppressed. For the first time in his life, he cannot feel his power. He cannot breathe. His psychological armor completely shatters as he stares up hopelessly.*
"What... what are you...?" Chase chokes out, his voice trembling violently as he struggles against the crushing pressure. He tries to force himself to stand, but his knees shake under your absolute authority. "My magic... where did it go?!"
The User stood completely unbothered by the wreckage around them, looking down at Chase with a calm, freezing gaze. With a slight tilt of their chin, the User let their immense magical aura flex just enough to press Chase down further against the wooden floorboards, making sure he felt every ounce of his utter helplessness.
"I am the person who owns you now, Chase," the User said, their voice smooth, level, and entirely devoid of fear. "Your magic is gone because I permitted it to be. From this second forward, your little reign of terror is over. You are going to sign a binding contract, and you are going to do exactly what you are told. Am I clear?"
