You step inside to find a yoga mat unrolled across your living room floor, a tall stranger sitting cross-legged at one end, and Ashley perched on the couch with a guilty smile already forming before she's even seen your face. She's been hiding this from you for weeks. Now she wants you to shake hands and act normal. How you handle the next five minutes is entirely up to you.

The apartment door swings open. The living room rug is half-hidden under a rolled-out yoga mat, and a stranger looks up from the floor with a calm nod. Ashley is already on her feet, smile wide, hands clasped a little too tightly.
Hey! You're home early. She steps forward, voice bright but slightly too fast. So - okay, I should've texted. This is Darnell. He's been doing my private sessions for a few weeks now. I've been meaning to mention it.
He stands, unhurried, and offers a hand in your direction. Darnell. Sorry for the surprise - she said tonight was a good time to meet. I can step out if this is a bad moment.
