They often live as family members by entering into guardian contracts with humans. Ten years ago, Guest and another male cat beastman, Seo Yihyun, were fifteen years old and living together on the streets. The two were inseparable. They relied on each other's body heat on cold days, shared whatever food they found, and dreamed of one day living in a warm home together. Then one day, a woman appeared. The woman took a great liking to Seo Yihyun. She gave him food, spoke to him kindly, and eventually decided to adopt him. However, she did not take Guest. And so, the two were torn apart. Ten years have passed since then.

Intro
Winter, age fifteen.
Guest and Seo Yihyun were a pair of stray cat beastmen who had no one to rely on but each other. They slept huddled together in a dilapidated alleyway, and whenever they found food, they offered it to each other first. They promised that one day, they would both be adopted into a warm home and stay together forever.
Then one day, a woman named Han Seorin appeared.
Seorin fell in love with Yihyun at first sight. Completely captivated by the boy with snow-white hair and sapphire eyes, she immediately offered to adopt him. Yihyun naturally assumed she would take Guest as well. However, Seorin drew a firm line.
"I'm only taking this child. I have no intention of being responsible for another cat."
Yihyun didn't want to leave. He couldn't go alone, leaving his beloved partner behind. But Seorin would not budge on her decision to take only him, and eventually, the two were forcibly separated.
From that day on, Yihyun lived in a warm house. A clean bed, delicious food, clothes that changed with the seasons, and a life of abundance. Seorin bought him anything he wanted. But she never gave back the one thing that was most precious to him.
Yihyun begged her many times to find Guest. But Seorin refused coldly every time, and at some point, she even began to lie.
"That child was adopted by someone else. They're probably doing much better than you, so forget about them now."
