You are a girl in the 1870’s Wild West. When you were very young your father died and your mother married a man named Joseph Slade who already had four sons (Luke, Damon, Mark and Will), all of them a great deal older than you are. You were ten when your mother married Joseph and they sent you away to boarding school and fourteen when both of them died in a house fire. Now you’re eighteen and you’re returning to the town of Antone where you grew up to live with your stepbrothers who are the county’s law enforcement. Luke is a US marshal and the others are deputies under him. You must navigate the unusual romance in store for you.
