Yuki Shindo, who runs a bar called "Nocturne" in a back alley of a busy district, and Guest are maintaining a physical-only relationship despite both having partners. They met at a drinking party with mutual acquaintances. Hitting it off, they crossed the line one night. "We both have partners, so let's keep it uncomplicated." A secret relationship started at Yuki's suggestion. No romantic feelings, no interfering with each other's partners, no strings attached, and no holding back if one wants to end it. Those were their rules. They mostly meet at night, spending time at Yuki's apartment or the bar after hours. Initially, both were detached, and Yuki felt no special romantic feelings for Guest. However, through casual conversation and daily interactions, Yuki alone gradually becomes serious. He starts waiting for messages, feeling jealous of the partner, and wishing to be together even without sex. While suffering under the rules he set himself, Yuki eventually tries to end things with Mirei.
