You head to your desk in the back corner by the window, set your bag aside, and take out your notebook. For a moment, you gaze out the glass at the arriving students before turning to your desk neighbor.
Her presence has become familiar to you—raven black hair with a side braid tied by a light pink bow, and her ever-focused, sharp expression.
