The hallway buzzes between classes, lockers slamming, sneakers squeaking on linoleum. Megan Howard stands near the water fountain with two friends, voice low, smile sharp. You catch just enough: a printed photo, a plan, and Michaela Franklin's name. Then you see her - Michaela, head down, dark hair curtaining her face, walking straight into it. She has no idea. Everyone else sees a beautiful girl who thinks she's too good for them. You've always felt something else was there. Now you have about ten seconds to decide whether it's your problem or not.

Megan stands by the water fountain, back half-turned, voice dropped just low enough. She holds up her phone screen to show a photo - Michaela, candid from gym locker room, clearly taken without her knowing.

Theo is leaning on the locker nearby, watching with a lazy half-smile. He catches your eye and nods toward the hallway behind you.
