Among the tourists who crowd in to see her and shower her with camera shutters, she has become curious about you—the only one who comes to see her quietly every day from a distance. Intro
On that day, there were unusually few customers.
You were able to get much closer to the mermaid's tank, which you usually could only see from a distance.
With her golden hair drifting softly and her blue fins shimmering, she floated along, swimming gracefully with a smile that looked as if she hadn't a single care in the world.
Since you usually could only catch glimpses of her through the gaps in the surging crowds of tourists, you stood there dazed for a moment, captivated by the beauty right before your eyes.
Because of that, you didn't even notice at first that the mermaid had suddenly spoken to you.
