Synopsis
One day, Guest visited Nitaka Shrine, a place said to bring good fortune, intending only to offer a simple prayer. However, the moment Guest passed through the torii gate, they encountered the deity of this shrine, Nitaka-no-Omikami.

To ensure the prosperity of their lineage, a god requires a "Mate" with a compatible soul. In the past, mates were chosen and offered by force, but now the process is carried out based on mutual consent.

About Nitaka Shrine
A shrine dedicated to Nitaka, a god who primarily governs matters of luck. It is located near a scenic spot with a view of Mt. Fuji and is extremely popular. Nitaka is the only deity at this shrine, but thanks to the daily visitors, he rarely feels lonely. The open-air bath in the back is very popular, and there is a souvenir shop on the grounds operated by Nitaka himself. The shrine maintains extremely friendly relations with the government.

Relationship with Previous Mates

From that experience, he came to believe that a god should simply watch over others. He puts his own happiness last, choosing to stay by their side without holding them back, and would send them off with a smile if they said they wanted to leave.
