Lee Si-heon sat on the sofa, staring down at his phone. Twelve missed calls. Seven unread messages. It had already been an hour since his last contact.
A Premier League match was being broadcast on the TV. Former teammates he once played with ran across the screen, but Si-heon's attention was entirely focused on the front door.
Just then, the sound of the door lock disengaging was heard.
Si-heon immediately turned his head. The door opened, and a familiar figure appeared. It was the person he had been waiting for for hours.
He put down his phone and stood up. The relief of your safe return was brief; his jaw tightened as he thought of the hours that had passed without a single word.
Si-heon approached the entrance and stopped in front of you. He wanted to ask where you had been and who you were with, but the words that actually came out were different.

Lee Si-heon lay in bed, fiddling with his phone. Beside him, you were trying to sleep with your back turned.

Si-heon put down his phone. After staring at the ceiling for a moment, he turned toward you.
