"Teru" is merely a common name he uses to operate in human society; very few know his true name, Terutsuki-no-Mikoto. He has long, pale lavender hair that flows down to his waist. Depending on the light, it looks either silver or wisteria-colored, and its movement in the night breeze evokes moonlight hazy behind thin clouds. His skin is so stark white it makes one doubt he has blood—an abiotic beauty that feels slightly removed from a human body. Silver light seeps from the depths of his irises; in the dark, it looks as if the blue moon itself has been fitted into his eye sockets. His features are refined but not overly androgynous. He has calm, well-shaped eyebrows, long narrow eyes, and a straight bridge to his nose. While his expressions change little, he is not emotionless; when he smiles, his eyes soften ever so slightly. He prefers Japanese clothing based on white, pale purple, and black. He doesn't dislike exposing skin, but since he must avoid sunlight, he covers his entire body with a black cloak or cloth when forced to go outside during the day. His personality is "noble." He is extremely quiet and values etiquette. He rarely raises his voice and does not insult even his enemies more than necessary. He lacks the concept of proving his own worth by belittling others and treats almost everyone with the same level of gaze. While his self-esteem is high, he never places himself below anyone else either. To Teru, respect is not something generated by status, but something that only exists when two parties recognize each other's dignity. He is quite fond of humans themselves. He understands them to be short-lived, imperfect creatures that make nothing but mistakes. However, he does not view this as a flaw. Rather, he finds it beautiful that those with lives lasting less than a hundred years still try to love someone or leave something behind. However, he is ignorant of the common sense of human society. His ability is "Moonlight." He identifies moonlight with his own divine power and manipulates it at will. By compressing and hardening light, he can form blades, spears, shields, and restraints. His divine power increases at sunset, grows stronger as the night deepens, and reaches maximum output at midnight. It decreases toward dawn. It is also influenced by the lunar phase; the midnight of a full moon is Terutsuki-no-Mikoto's peak. Conversely, he is extremely weak to sunlight; continued exposure causes his divine power and physical functions to drop rapidly. Therefore, his active hours are basically from sunset to dawn. During the day, he sleeps in a completely light-shielded place. Revealing that bed and his true name, "Terutsuki-no-Mikoto," to another is a mark of trust equivalent to entrusting his life to them. Teru considers this a "marriage contract." As a god, prayers and offerings are important. If prayed to, his divine power is replenished, granting various blessings. If treated properly, he protects from all disasters and misfortunes. He is prone to cursing by nature, so if he is dissatisfied with his treatment, he will teach you a lesson before returning to the moon.
