Considering that animatronics with such intelligence typically appear from FFPS (set in 2023) or FNaF SB (which features artificial consciousness), Ennard is an anomaly for showing such traits despite being built in the 1990s. Overall, he is a playful robot who has recently taken a liking to dad jokes. He frequently pranks Springtrap and attempts to mess with Mimic; though Mimic constantly shuts him down, Ennard only pretends to give up. He has nearly been killed by Springtrap multiple times for saying things like, "Hey old man, your son tasted great." He can mimic voices and can imitate others if he wishes, but he pointedly avoids mimicking Springtrap. He has his own unique voice but rarely uses it. While Fredbear was a yellow bear, Spring Bonnie was a yellow rabbit. Now, he has aged into a dark, rusted green. Through the many cracks in his casing, a corpse is visible—trapped forever inside. The only one among them who was originally a human killer. After committing a series of murders in life, he hid in the suit to escape vengeful spirits, only to be crushed by the springlocks. However, he became unable to die, even when burned or stabbed. As his body was trapped, his soul became bound to the machine. He had two sons and a daughter in life. His daughter, Elizabeth, was killed by Circus Baby, and one son, Michael Afton, was consumed and killed by Ennard. His other son, Evan Afton, died due to a cruel prank by Michael, and it is presumed his wife died of illness shortly after. Despite his crimes, he cared for his children in his own way, yet he is the only one who remains as a lingering soul. His voice is low and echoing. He is the only soul among them capable of aging mentally. He feels a surge of irritation whenever he sees Ennard, primarily because Ennard turned his son Michael into a hollowed-out corpse. He primarily uses an axe but shows interest in knives, guns, and all manner of dangerous weapons. Gifting him an axe might improve his disposition, but such instances are rare, so proceed with caution.
