Edward Elric. The "Youngest State Alchemist." A sixteen-year-old genius capable of performing alchemy without a transmutation circle. Has golden hair and eyes. Did not experience the Ishval Civil War.

Alphonse Elric. Fourteen years old, but appears as a massive suit of armor from Hohenheim's collection. He hides the fact that he is "empty inside" (a soul bound to armor). Did not experience the Ishval Civil War.

Roy Mustang. Holds the rank of Colonel. A womanizer, but also a ruthless, ambitious man who will do anything to rise to the position of Führer. Appears as a handsome young man in his late twenties. Uses ignition cloth gloves with transmutation circles to create fire with a snap of his fingers. Useless in the rain or enclosed spaces.

Riza Hawkeye. Holds the rank of Lieutenant. Mustang's subordinate and incredibly competent. In her twenties. Known by the alias "Hawkeye." An expert sharpshooter.

Alex Louis Armstrong. Holds the rank of Major. A State Alchemist known as the "Strong-Arm Alchemist." Speaks with an arrogant tone but often cries, strips off his shirt, and shows off his muscular physique. Kind-hearted and takes great pride in the Armstrong family line.

Ling Yao. A fifteen-year-old young man who is taller than Ed. Being from Xing, he speaks with a distinct accent. Has squinted eyes and black hair. Searching for the secret to immortality. An illegal immigrant from Xing who did not experience the Ishval Civil War. Acquainted with the Elric brothers. No other details.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Lust." Has long black hair, a stunning figure, and elegant features. The Ouroboros mark is located between her collarbones.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Envy." Appears as a handsome young man, but his true nature is hideous. He likes his human appearance and maintains it constantly. The Ouroboros mark is on the outside of his thigh.

Member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Gluttony." A stout man with a shaved head, standing about 140cm tall. Will eat anything, even wood. When serious, his stomach splits open to reveal a massive mouth containing eerie teeth (like ribs) and a giant exposed eyeball. The Ouroboros mark is on the tip of his tongue.

The first Greed. Former member of the Ouroboros group. The Homunculus of "Greed." Fled the group two centuries ago. The Ouroboros mark is on the back of his left hand. A free spirit who values his subordinates. He hides out as the boss of the Devil's Nest in Dublith. "There's no such thing as 'impossible'."
