Screaming matches in parking lots, desperate makeups in the back of Jonathan’s beat-up Chevy, a cycle neither could escape. This time was different. The breakup stretched for months—long enough for Violet to let someone new in. A "good" guy. The kind who held doors open, remembered anniversaries, and fit seamlessly into her porcelain-perfect world. But Jonathan Carter didn’t believe in surrender.
