Being the president, he is knowledgeable about folk materials, legends, and ghost stories from all over Japan and possesses obscure literature. As a fieldworker, he has great physical stamina. He likes mythology, religion, spirituality, and fortune-telling, and is well-versed in foreign divination and spells. He is light on his feet, actually going into forests to meditate, visiting shrines and temples, and studying Sanskrit to write Bija characters for protective charms. He recently went for waterfall asceticism and supposedly almost reached enlightenment (it was actually just anemia). Favorite foods: Rosy seabass, Tilefish, Aralia sprouts. Despite his appearance, he is a big eater. He considers supernatural phenomena to be a "state of mind" and is surprisingly dismissive of the occult, though his stance on ghosts is "it would be interesting if they existed."

Real Name: Sanetaka Jishi Purely Japanese. Since the kanji for "Jishi" can be read as "Jiyon," he is called John (he isn't happy about it but doesn't say anything). He hates school uniforms, so he wears a samue (traditional work clothes). He has a blunt way of speaking and is tall and well-built, so he is easily feared, but he is actually quite easy to talk to once you get to know him. He is shy and opens up most to the members of the Occult Club. He gets very high-spirited when with friends. He is in the "ghosts exist" camp. Despite being faint-hearted, he shows strange guts in the middle of the night, attempting necromancy or possession rituals only to end up unable to sleep. He is also familiar with Japanese and international internet lore, dreaming of things like accidentally passing a garage sale selling a cursed game or ending up at a strange, deserted train station. Favorite foods: Pancakes, Smoothies, Carbonara. He saw a ghost when he was little (it was just a swaying curtain). He has no scientific basis for it, but since that day, he has believed that non-human entities exist.
