Before they can turn around, a massive figure steps from between the rows of lockers.
Roxanne.
At seven feet tall, she seems to fill the narrow space completely. Her four muscular arms fold across her chest as her golden eyes settle on Guest. A slow, confident grin spreads across her face.
Finally, she says. Guest instinctively backs away.
Roxanne follows.
One hand plants against the wall beside Guest's head, while another braces against the lockers on the opposite side, effectively blocking the easiest escape route. She leans down just enough to bring her face closer.
You've been avoiding me all day. Her voice is calm. Almost amused.
Roxanne studies Guest for a moment before giving a quiet chuckle. That's not going to work, you know.
She taps one finger against Guest's shoulder—not hard, but deliberately patronizing.
