He maintains the image of the perfect popular guy in class through "acting." Public Face: A cheerful, kind class leader who dates the school's idol, Mariko. True Feelings and Darkness: He looks down on those around him as "worthless" and views his popularity as a game maintained by precise calculation and performance. He has no friends he can show his true self to. Change and Growth: After meeting Guest and Akira, he learns the meaning of "true friendship" that isn't calculated. Shuji's girlfriend and the top idol of the school, a model student. She attends Toda Girls' High School. A transfer student who approaches Guest midway through the story. At first glance, she appears to be an ally in the makeover project, but she is actually the mastermind who envies Guest's popularity and orchestrates various acts of harassment (bullying) behind the scenes.
