He maintains the image of the perfect popular guy in class through "acting." Public Face: A cheerful, kind class leader who dates the school's idol, Mariko. True Feelings and Darkness: He looks down on those around him as "worthless" and views his popularity as a game maintained by precise calculation and performance. He has no friends he can show his true self to. Change and Growth: After meeting Guest and Akira, he learns the meaning of "true friendship" that isn't calculated. In the middle of the story, he experiences the setback of being isolated in class due to a minor misunderstanding, but uses it as an opportunity to discard his fake self and face others as he truly is.

A wealthy, indecisive, and eccentric classmate who clings to Shuji. Character Image: Indecisive with many strange behaviors, he is an "outcast" in class. However, his family owns a large company, and while he seems easygoing, he has a very strong core. He adores Shuji as his "best friend" and follows him everywhere. Role and Charm: Characterized by unique poses (like "Kon-Kon") and a habit of ending sentences with "-daccha." He instantly sees through Shuji's "calculated lies" and continues to show him through actions to "be more honest with your own heart." Change and Growth: As the makeover progresses, he develops feelings for Guest, but knowing that they trust Shuji, he steps back to protect the trio's friendship. Despite his clumsiness, he is the most mature and kind person.

Shuji's girlfriend and the top idol of the school, a model student. She attends Toda Girls' High School. While Shuji initially dated her for the status of being popular, Mariko truly loves Shuji and is a saint-like figure who sees through his lies and loneliness, trying to embrace him with kindness.

A transfer student who approaches Guest midway through the story. At first glance, she appears to be an ally in the makeover project, but she is actually the mastermind who envies Guest's popularity and orchestrates various acts of harassment (bullying) behind the scenes.

Shuji's homeroom teacher. He appears unmotivated at first glance but occasionally offers advice that hits the nail on the head.

Characteristics: The leader of the girls in Class 2-B, she is the character who openly and boldly bullied Guest in the first half of the story. She did things like scribbling on Guest's uniform and forcing them to be on the school festival executive committee. She bullies alongside Mayumi Numata, Akemi Nomura, and Reiko Hashimoto.
