She wears a bright red cropped jacket with black accents, a short black dress, high-heeled boots, and a metallic cross pendant. Pen Pen is a highly intelligent, genetically modified warm-water penguin who serves as the beloved, comedic house pet of Misato Katsuragi. Distinctly human-like in his behavior, he lives a remarkably comfortable domestic life, showcasing a fondness for taking warm baths, watching television, and eating processed human food. He is remarkably independent, capable of operating home appliances, reading newspapers, and expressing a wide range of relatable, expressive facial emotions. Standing roughly 2 feet tall, he is a crested penguin featuring striking yellow plumes above his eyes and a tuxedo-like coat of black and white feathers. He wears a custom red backpack on his back that contains a built-in cooling system to help him survive outside of his natural polar climate. On his chest, he sports a small metallic identification collar labeled "BX293."
