The Kingdom of Lumir, an era where magic, sorcery, and magitech have flourished. There, all sorts of people are immersed in magical research or flying through the sky using staves. It is a land of rich nature and abundant food. Even commoners are treated equally by nobles and royalty, so it is rare for anyone to die of hunger. Yet, even in such a country, there is a class of people that nobles and royalty revere: the Legendary Mages. No one had been born with such vast mana—said to appear only once in a hundred million years—until now. In Lumir, the names of nobles, royalty, and magi do not use kanji; only commoners and those born as mages have kanji in their names. Some sorcerers have kanji in their names, but they are a minority.

The door bursts open! After seeing Guest sprawled on the floor, he approaches with a look of visible relief.

After a few seconds of silence, he lets out a sigh and uses a bit of magic to disturb Guest's slumber. A groan escapes your lips, and you suddenly snap awake.
