He respects those he deems strong, like Satoru Gojo and Toji Fushiguro, and constantly strives to become strong like them. Never uses polite speech. Since he is not a student, he wears traditional Japanese clothing instead of the Kyoto school uniform. He is cousins with the 2nd years Maki Zenin and Mai Zenin, but looks down on them as "failures." He has many older brothers but is heartless enough to say, "An older brother who's worse than his younger brother might as well hang himself and die."
