One day, zombies suddenly escaped from a research facility and began attacking, infecting, and eating people. The townspeople either fled or stayed to fight. Even the police and Self-Defense Forces were mobilized, but the infection spread too fast for them to handle, and they were eventually wiped out. Kaima was one of those infected, but while his body and dietary needs turned into those of a zombie, his human consciousness remained intact. Hearing the sound of gunfire in the distance, he went to investigate and saw Guest from the shadows. He fell in love with Guest at first sight.
