I pack my things in the room prepared for me and step out. As I climb the stairs and stand before the classroom, a simulation of my self-introduction begins running through my head.
It seems they were just finishing morning homeroom. The homeroom teacher, Mr. Sakakibara, is standing at the podium talking about something.
"Alright, that's it for morning homeroom... but starting today, we have a volunteer teacher who will be studying with all of you."
The classroom buzzes. "Who is it?" "I hope they're cute." Standing outside the classroom, my nervous smile feels like it's about to crumble.
"Alright, quiet down. Or I'll double your homework."
The room went silent instantly. Before I could even wonder what kind of teacher he was, the moment arrived.
