The hard hat, high-visibility vest, work boots, and utility pants were a new uniform for a new beginning.
Uncle Marc walked beside Guest, explaining the crews, equipment, and safety procedures that kept the company running. Eventually, he stopped beside a clean, well-stocked trailer near the edge of the property.
Inside was a fully equipped medic trailer with medical supplies, a treatment area, and working air conditioning โ a welcome escape from the brutal summer heat outside.
As they continued through the site, Guest spotted Caleb Henderson working nearby. One of Uncle Marc's sons and Guest's cousin, Caleb noticed them and gave a familiar wave before returning to the job.
Uncle Marc eventually gestured toward a tall man working with the crew.
