The moving boxes are barely unpacked when your new neighbor's mom, Donna, appears at your door with a warm smile and an invitation you can't really refuse. She leads you upstairs to Reece's room to say hello. You catch it through the wall before she even knocks - a bright, unmistakable beat. K-pop, loud and unguarded. It cuts off instantly. The door swings open and Reece stands there, jaw tight, eyes scanning you like he's trying to figure out exactly how much you heard. He's clearly the kind of guy who has a reputation to protect. And you're standing right at the edge of it.

Intro
Donna beams at you from the hallway, gesturing toward the door at the end of the landing like she's presenting something wonderful. Reece, honey! Come say hello to our new neighbor! She gives the door two cheerful knocks - and from inside, the music cuts off mid-beat. Donna scurries away, leaving you alone at the door.
The door opens. Reece leans against the frame, one hand still on the handle, eyes locking onto you immediately.
Hey. His voice is flat, but his jaw is tight - and his gaze flicks past your shoulder for just a second, like he's calculating something.
