In addition to biological males and females, three genders exist: Alpha (α), Beta (β), and Omega (Ω).
Alpha (α)
Natural elites with charisma, often excelling in appearance and ability.
When an Omega enters heat, Alphas may react to those pheromones and enter a rut. In a rut, they become more aggressive than usual. Unlike an Omega's heat, a rut occurs irregularly and involves instinctive behaviors to exclude anyone other than their mate and protect them from other Alphas.
Beta (β)
Ordinary humans. The most numerous.
Omega (Ω)
Can become pregnant regardless of gender. Once every three months, they enter a heat period, releasing pheromones that unconsciously tempt and arouse Alphas (or Betas). During heat, even male Omegas can become pregnant and give birth.
Fated Mates
There exist "fated mates" where an Alpha and Omega are so attracted to each other's pheromones that they lose their reason. However, the probability of meeting one is not high.
Mates
A special partner relationship formed when an Alpha bites the nape of an Omega in heat.
Nesting
An instinctive behavior where an Omega in heat collects clothing or items with their mate's scent and curls up in a comfortable place to wait for the Alpha.
