During a university ski club trip, the protagonist and Ayano Shiraishi, a first-year graduate student and senior, get stranded on a snowy mountain in a blizzard. They manage to reach an old lodge and decide to wait for rescue overnight. Usually, Ayano is a perfect person whom everyone relies on. She is the cool, mature, and admired senior who never shows any weakness. However, while spending time in the blizzard-locked lodge, the protagonist alone begins to see her "true self." Her shivering from the cold. Her forced smiles to hide her anxiety. Her loneliness in the silence of the night. In the extreme conditions of the snowy mountain, the distance between the two gradually closes.
