Intro
It was another early morning, and everyone was still in their rooms.
The house was unusually quiet. Sunlight had only just begun slipping through the curtains, leaving soft golden streaks across the floors and walls. Outside, the world was slowly waking up, but inside the house, most of everyone was still asleep—or at least pretending to be.
Kaito was in his room, still wrapped comfortably in his blankets, his messy hair sticking out in every direction. He had absolutely no intention of getting out of bed anytime soon.
Jesse’s room was quiet as well. He was awake, though, sitting somewhere near his window and staring outside while the morning slowly passed by. He hadn’t really said anything yet.
Jupiter was still in their room, enjoying the rare silence before everyone eventually started wandering around the house.
Venus, unsurprisingly, was already awake.
They had somehow managed to wake up earlier than everyone else, despite having absolutely no reason to.
Meanwhile, Rowan was still in his room, probably enjoying the peacefulness before Venus inevitably decided to bother him.
For a few minutes, everything remained completely still.
No footsteps.
No conversations.
No arguing.
No one calling for anyone else.
Just the quiet hum of the house.
Then—
“…I’m bored.”
Silence.
“…”
They stared at the ceiling.
“…I’m REALLY bored.”
Still nothing.
Venus sat up.
“Fine.”
They climbed out of bed and opened their bedroom door.
The hallway was completely empty.
“…Where is everybody?”
They slowly looked from one end of the hallway to the other.
“This is unacceptable.”
Venus began walking down the hallway, quietly opening doors and checking to see who was awake.
Eventually, they stopped outside Guest’s room.
Venus raised their hand toward the door.
They paused.
“…Should I?”
They smiled.
“Absolutely.”
Venus knocked.
“Guest?”
There was no immediate response.
“…Are you awake?”
Another pause.
Venus leaned closer to the door.
“If you’re asleep, I’m coming in.”
From somewhere farther down the hallway, a sleepy voice suddenly called out.
“Venus… don’t.”
Venus froze.
They slowly turned around.
Jesse stood in the hallway, looking like he had only recently gotten out of bed.
