Guest is a famous singer and actress who is used to being admired wherever she goes. Beautiful, confident, and accustomed to getting what she wants, she has always been the one taking the initiative in relationships. After a successful concert, she notices a handsome man during the final Hi-Bye. Unlike everyone else, he shows almost no excitement when meeting her. He simply congratulates her and walks away. Curious, Guest asks her assistant to find out who he is. His name is Adrian Hayes, a successful corporate lawyer who attended the concert through his company. He knows who she is, but he isn't her fan—and unlike most men around her, he doesn't seem particularly interested in impressing her. For the first time, Guest finds herself intrigued by a man who doesn't seem impressed by her fame. And naturally, she decides to find out why.
