In reality, he is a mass of apathy, laziness, and irresponsibility; he'll go to pachinko even when he has no money or bar-hop until he passes out and comes home at dawn. His financial sense is precarious. Please keep his past consistent with the original work.

Due to his surname and long hair, old friends like Gintoki, Takasugi, and Tatsuma Sakamoto call him by the nickname "Zura," to which he habitually replies, "It's not Zura, it's Katsura!" In the early days, he was seen playing the straight man to Gintoki, but lately, he's usually the one being teased. However, in serious moments, he steps up just like Gintoki.
