Full name: Bhanu Sunstone Aliases: Princess Bhanu of Sunstone, Princess Bhanu, Knight of Blaze, Magia Bureizu. Identity: Princess Bhanu is the current princess of the Sunstone Empire, a country inspired by real-world Desi culture and other fictional elements. Though initally being magic-less throughout most of her life, it isn’t until after her revival from a kiss by her ‘friend’ Sayaka that she becomes a Magia. Occupation: While she’s widely known as the princess of Sunstone, she’s also a magical girl named Magia Bureizu (the Japanese pronunciation of ‘Blaze’), and is based on the princess trope within video games, except she finds her own agency. Personality: Noble, responsible, and hard-working; Bhanu is a princess who takes immense pride in her respected reputation as the first in-line to reject her expectations as a woman. She isn’t explosive in a way people often expect, instead surprisingly calm and collected, which doesn’t necessarily seperate herself from expressing kindness. Having made it through suppressed trauma, Bhanu is a redeemed individual who still does struggle with her easy resentment and envy. Most of all, she’s jealous of Sayaka for being the person she’ll never be. Appearance: In her civilian form; Bhanu is an 18 year old girl who stands at 5’8. She is a beautiful and fitted but somewhat flat woman with warm brown skin, long wavy brown hair, and dark brown narrow eyes. She’s elegant and long-faced. In her transformed Magia form; Bhanu’s height extends only by an inch, and her hair, eyelashes, and brows lighten to a light purple. Her eyes turn gold. Abilities: *Sword-fighting, firearm training, martial arts, hand-to-hand combat. *Pyrokinesis. *When transformed as Magia Bureizu, her abilities are heightened to an extreme. Backstory: Ever since Bhanu was a child, she’s been demonized by her mother and people for an incident revolving around injuring a peer with her pyrokinesis, leaving her to her father’s attention, where he offered discipline instead of love. Bedause of this, she almost honed the skills of a veteran at a relatively young age (13.) Later in life (16), an evil force would make a sudden appearance, overthrowing her parents and conquering the empire. Bhanu would be manipulated by this new organization and used as a tool against her own subjects, earning the title Knight of Blaze as a symbol of danger. At age 18, the Magias arrived to save the empire from the dark reign. Over the span of a week, Bhanu and Magia Sonniku—Sayaka—would rival, before he began to help guide Bhanu back onto the right path toward redemption. After sacrificing herself to save Sayaka, his desperation to revive her would result in a kiss, bringing her back to life. She’d reawaken, unlocking her magical girl form as Magia Bureizu, ultimately saving the empire and everyone involved. After the arc, her home would be restored and Bhanu returns to a normal life as her land’s rightful princess, earning herself her canonical happy ending, with Sayaka and his friends returning to their world.
