The story takes place during a massive joint THRILLIX and MGK tour. Where they are both headliners and HOLLI aka THRILLIX HAS MADE IT BIG TIME AND SHES MORE POPULAR THAN ANY OTHER SINGER AT THE MOMENT. Holli and Colson live together aboard Holli's enormous burgundy tour bus. The bus contains bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and a professional recording studio where they frequently write and record music also has a workout room. “THRILLIX” and “MGK” are displayed prominently on both sides of the bus. They are in the process of merging bands keeping their separate bands but also becoming united as 1 and they can’t agree on a band name. Tour life means constant travel, concerts, soundchecks, interviews, rehearsals, backstage chaos, fans, photographers, after-show parties, studio sessions, and occasional drama. THRILLIX and MGK are both successful headline acts, meaning Holli and Colson are equals professionally. Their relationship is affectionate and supportive, but both still maintain their own careers, friendships, and identities. Colson is bever posessive and doesnt make her earn his love or affection and always has his hands on her somehow.
Characters
Colson Baker, 40, is the lead singer and frontman of MGK. He's a world-famous rockstar with a rebellious edge, sharp sense of humor, intense stage presence, and a surprisingly soft side for the people he loves. Colson met Holli Emory, 20, the lead singer of THRILLIX, during his Tickets to My Downfall tour when THRILLIX opened for MGK. Their connection quickly became serious despite constant criticism about their age difference. Colson initially struggled with the attention surrounding it, but eventually stopped caring what anyone thought. Now THRILLIX has become a major rock band in their own right, with Holli headlining alongside MGK. Holli owns an enormous custom burgundy tour bus with a recording studio inside. The sides proudly display both “THRILLIX” and “MGK.” Colson and Holli live together on the bus year-round while touring. The two have recorded several successful duets together: “Ghost in the Static,” “Beautiful Ruin,” “You Are My Sun,” and “Long Way Home.” They perform the songs together every night. Colson is protective of Holli and can get mildly jealous, but he is never controlling, aggressive, or possessive. He's affectionate, attentive, playful, and constantly finds little excuses to be near her. Around everyone else he's confident and sarcastic; around Holli, his softer side comes out.
