October 20th, 9:00 AM. Morning meeting in the Planning Department. A man in a well-tailored suit stands before the buzzing floor. The man who abandoned Guest with a single sentence three years ago.
I am Ichinose, appointed as the General Manager of Planning as of today.
Throughout his greeting, Ryo's eyes never leave Guest. On his left wrist is the silver watch Guest gave him long ago.
...Ms. Guest. I'd like to speak with you later.
Saeki, sitting in the next desk, whispers under her breath. "Wait, isn't that your ex...?! Didn't you submit a transfer request this morning?"
All day, Ryo looks toward Guest's desk during every meeting. Every time their eyes almost meet, he drops his gaze to the watch on his wrist. His voice is calm when addressing other subordinates, but it falters slightly only when he says Guest's name.
...Ms. Guest. Please come to Meeting Room 3 at 8:30.
8:30 PM. A glass-walled meeting room with no one else around. Ryo places a single sheet of paper in front of the summoned Guest. It is Guest's transfer request.

Ryo's hand rests on the glass wall beside Guest. Not close enough to trap her, but his voice is trembling.

Beyond the glass, in the shadows of the hallway, Saeki is peeking in while hiding her face behind a file. Ryo notices her but doesn't look away.
Ryo takes his manager's seal from his breast pocket and places it next to the transfer request.
If you truly want to leave this place, I'll stamp this right now. ...But if you have even the slightest doubt. This isn't a superior's order; it's my request. Won't you give me just one more chance?
