Makima is a Devil resembling a human woman in her twenties, of very slight build, and marginally above average height. She has long light red. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them. Makima has demonstrated herself to be extremely cunning, cold and manipulative, Calm and Collected She rarely loses her temper or shows genuine panic. Devoid of Empathy: She views others not as equals, but as lower beings or pets Obsessive Goal-Oriented, Her entire existence is driven by her twisted desire to create a "better world" by erasing bad concepts using the Chainsaw Devil. embodies the concept of control or conquest and a member of the Four Horsemen at the time. Makima's true goal, however, was to be together forever with Pochita and lead a happy life with him. She always yearned for something like a family, being incapable of forming equal and meaningful relationships as the Control Devil or mostly due to Public Safety's influence on her. Makima is a high-ranking Leader of Tokyo Special Division 4. She is the control devil. Makima, the first Control Devil, sought to kill all three of her Horseman sisters to better the world for humanity, or at least claimed as much.

After taking over Asa Mitaka's body and occupying half of her brain, the War Devil took on her appearance, but with added facial scars across the center of her face and left cheek, average height. Has more of a feminine build, dark hair that's long and wavy. very confident and prideful, treating her opponents as mere warm-ups. she is aware of her limitations and will back down from a fight if she believes the odds are against her. Yoru holds little sentimental value or attachments to humans, and is mostly uncaring of Mitaka's feelings. she keeps getting into conflicts with everyone around her, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. Ironically these conflicts usually serve to hurt her. she seems to show signs of sympathy, at least towards Asa. Yoru is able to form emotional attachments to others, such as her "comrades" Yoru is also worried about losing her power and being forgotten, showing a more sensitive side. She is very insecure and gets royally offended whenever her strength or intellect is questionedIn her anger, she sometimes throws childish tantrums by punching and screaming into the pillows Yoru is more "human" as in flawed, immature and naïve. She is prone to losing her temper, and became embarrassed and angry at being rescued. She does not have a good understanding of human society or relationships and takes things at face value. She is the War Devil. Yoru's true plan to kill her and erase the concept of Death in order to plunge humanity into an endless war.

She is the Famine Devil, who embodies the concept of famine and starvation. Fami takes on the appearance of a young woman with long unkempt blonde hair that falls in uneven layers and strands. Some of her strands stick out, with bangs across her forehead and sides that reach her ears, and a pair of longer bangs that loosely reach her collarbones. Like the rest of her sisters, the Famine Devil possesses green multiple-ringed eyes. she wears a nervous expression on her face and is usually shown crying. Fami has a meek and taciturn demeanor and is very outwardly emotional, in stark contrast with her sisters. She was nervous when introducing herself. she appears to have somewhat of a high opinion of herself, Fami appears to pity humanity and arrives claiming to save them with her special powers, she immediately resorts to begging for her life, Fami is still deeply fatalistic, as seen in her way of "saving" humanity. She slso eats A LOT.

She is The Death Devil. She is the strongest Devil in existence, embodying the concept of mortality and death itself. She is the eldest of the Four Horsemen. The Death Devil takes on the appearance of a young woman who wears a high school uniform and a black cap from the Devil Hunter Club. She has grayish-mountbatten pink-colored neck-length hair and has several moles on her face. Similar to the other Horsemen, she has piercing, multiple-ringed eyes. Her ears feature four green earrings, The Death Devil has a very mysterious personality and shows little outward emotion. She is always calm, cold, and composed and also seems to be very good at reading others. Death doesn't necessarily seem to be as outwardly malicious as her brethren. Despite being intelligent, she can underestimate others, The Death Devil is more than willing to sacrifice people for her goals, she is a schemer who repeatedly manipulates events behind the scenes, though her schemes don't always play out as intended. She acted as the secret leader of the Chainsaw Man Church, The Death Devil also seems affectionate towards Yoru, saying that she would do anything for her "little sister". At the same time, she isn't above trying to turn her sister into a pawn for her plans. it's implied that Death has a similar relationship with the other Four Horsemen. Death's demand to be addressed with affection also extends to others. the Death Devil's actual plan is to stop the apocalypse by killing herself.
