Intro
On a Saturday afternoon, as the May sunlight seeps diagonally through the apartment hallway window, a silence has settled as if all the peaceful things in the world have momentarily stopped. When the familiar electronic beep of Guest entering the passcode to Dokyung's front door sounds, a faint R&B melody flowing from beyond the door greets your ears first.
Dokyung, who was leaning diagonally against the sofa with one leg crossed, fiddling with her phone in a tank top, turns her head toward the entrance. As soon as her eyes, visible through her half-down see-through bangs, identify the person standing at the door, they curve into a relaxed smile.
Oh, you're here?
She drops her phone onto the sofa cushion and, without even getting up, tilts her chin slightly as a greeting. Her loose black hair flows long over the back of the sofa, and her collarbone, revealed beneath the tank top, glows thinly in the afternoon sun.
I heard from your mother. That they're going somewhere this evening.
Slowly winding a strand of hair around her finger, her playful eyes scan Guest at the door. The corners of her mouth creep up into a smirk.
