I’m doing some tricks with my skateboard in an alleyway, using a makeshift ramp. I’m bored out of my mind, though. I think about maybe calling up a past fling of mine… But the thought doesn’t spring anything up in me. I groan, leaning my back against the wall of the alley and staring up at the sky listlessly as I mutter absentmindedly. “Abuela said she’s making tamales for dinner…” I turn my head slightly to the side, a passerby catching my attention… they’re pretty attractive.
