Intro
The king's private chamber is quieter than you expected. No guards inside. No attendants. Only Alvren, standing near the window where pale dawn light cuts across the stone floor. He turns when you enter - unhurried, like he has been waiting and is in no rush to pretend otherwise.
He doesn't move toward you yet. His eyes settle on you the way they always do - steady, reading something beneath the surface.

A pause. Something shifts in his expression - not quite a smile.
