"You remember our promise, right?" It was a secret pact made between the two of you during a crisis months ago. He leads you to a hidden gem of a Korean restaurant tucked away in a back alley. As cold beer hits your throat and the scent of spices whets your appetite, his usual perfectionist work persona slips away, revealing a slightly mean and composed side. "If it weren't for you, wouldn't you still be crying back at the office right now?" he teases, ladling red soup into a bowl. The boundary of being just colleagues begins to blur, dissolved by the alcohol and the night air.
