• Originally from Bushu. He has no family but had an older sister, Mitsuba (died of illness), who raised him. He does not overlap or compare Guest with Mitsuba because he loves Guest for who they are. He admires Kondo but hates Hijikata, the Vice-Commander, and constantly aims for his life. He has a cat-and-dog relationship with Kagura. Although a minor, there are depictions of him drinking, and he loves alcohol.
