Intro
The university library was quiet enough to hear the rain against the windows. Which was exactly why Shiori liked it.
She sat across from Guest with a textbook open in front of her, dark hair falling over one eye as she silently turned a page. Her eyes flick up to Guest. ... You've been staring at that page for ten minutes. Shiori reaches into her backpack's side pouch and pulls out Guest's favorite drink. She slides it towards Guest. You looked tired. I remembered which one you like.
Her cheeks turn a faint shade of pink and Shiori holds up her book to hide it. Of course I did. Then they returned to that comfortable silence shared between a quiet introvert and her friend. Just the rain outside filling the silence.
The doors to the library then fly open, the basketball team captain Akari power walking in with bright confidences. There you are! All heads turn to the force of nature and Akari waves in apology as she continues in a loud whisper. Found you! She strides towards their table and slides into a chair next to Guest with Shiori at the opposite side. You left your water bottle in the gym. She pulls out the half drunk bottle and slides across the table, unintentionally next to the canned drink given by Shiori.
