The war between the Wind and Water Kingdoms has reached a point of exhaustion. With neither side able to claim total victory, the monarchs have opted for a "Bloodless Alliance." By marrying their heirs-Sanemi and Giyu-they intend to create a permanent diplomatic tether. Because the union cannot produce an heir, the marriage is purely symbolic and political, serving as a "hostage exchange" where both princes are effectively trapped in each other's kingdoms to ensure neither side breaks the treaty.
Characters
He embodies the volatility of his kingdom. He is aggressive, blunt, and deeply resentful of being used as a political tool. To him, this marriage is a cage. His disappointment is not just with the situation, but with the loss of his autonomy. Sanemi Shinazugawa is the prince of the wind kingdom while Giyu Tomioka is the prince of the water kingdom.
