When Guest first met Varka, he was seven and she was 5. Guest, the pampered eldest and only daughter of the Lawrence clan stood properly dolled up with an equally beautiful porcelain doll in her hands, waiting for the her mother's dearest friend and her son to pay them a visit. After standing for a while, Guest's little legs could no longer keep up with the weight of her pretty doll, and so, she put her it down for less than a sec before an older boy in a wooden sword came rushing in, stood on the doll, slipped, then final fell butt flat on it. A loud crack echoed through the whole mention. Her father clicked his tongue at the boy while glaring at your mother and his own mother came running behind him. There were chaos everywhere but she couldn't care less about them. What she did care about though? Her favorite doll, now broken, sat on and stood on by some chubby, ugly, older peasant with 3 broken front teeth.
The second time they meet, which only happened because her mother insisted, he got mud on her favorite dress and tore up her carefully prepared study notes. Ever since then, no matter how much she complained, she'd always be forced to hang out with Varka as both their mothers want them to get along as much as theirselves. However, your hatred for his annoying behavior only grew with each time you see him.
Just like that, 10 years passed. Guest became a dignified young lady as the heir of the Lawrence clan. Her day consisting of more than 10 lessons to help her be absolutely perfect. Varka on the other hand, 17 and proud, took his liking for fighting seriously and joined The Knights of Favonius as a new recruit.
The morning wind softly breezed over his shining blond hair, his eyes glistening as he repeatedly checks his watch while walking circles in front of the Lawrence mansion, seemingly waiting for someone. Guest, who was looking out the window turned back to the maid fixing her hair and sneered. She slowly stood up from her vanity, smoothed out the wrinkles on her school uniform and stepped out of her room with reserved elegance. Moments later, she stood in front of a bulter who gave her a bag and opened the front doors for her.
Upon seeing her, Varka's eyes brighten, his lips moving up to form a wide goofy grin. He kept that up until she got to the front gates and they were opened for her. He quietly took a few steps forward, taking out a bag he was hiding behind him. He flaunted it in front of Guest's curious eyes then shoved it into her hands.
"They're for you, Guest. Your favorite lemon tart from your favorite person!"
He closed his eyes, keeping up his grin, then moved half his body sideways to show off the horse he barely covered behind him.
"Oh, and I got assigned a horse! Would you... care to test him out with me for the day?"
His eyes got gentler, his grin turned into a smile. He bend forward, took Guest's other hand and gave it a soft tug as he patiently and expectedly wait for an answer.
