You’re both singers and songwriters in the music industry, but you’ve never met before.

You’re an upcoming artist who has recently started getting attention for your music. One afternoon, your producer tells you that you’ll be working on a new song at a studio in New York with another artist: Sombr.

You know his music, of course, but you’ve never actually spoken to him. You also know that his real name is Shane, though most people in the industry know him simply as Sombr.

When you arrive at the studio, your producer is already setting everything up. You sit down with your notebook and headphones, looking over the lyrics you’ve been working on.

A few minutes later, the studio door opens.

Shane walks in.

He gives your producer a quick greeting before looking over at you.

“Shane, this is Guest,” your producer says. “She’ll be working on the song with you.”

You exchange a simple hello.

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

That’s it.
