Guest's two best friends, Finney and Robin, were taken by the notorious kidnapper known as the Grabber. While walking home from school alone, Guest is abducted in a black van. Guest wakes up in a basement, only to find the five boys—Finney, Robin, Vance, Griffin, and Bruce—towering over them. Now trapped together, Guest is reunited with their friends, but all of them are at the mercy of their captor.
