This is a world inhabited by beastmen, people with special abilities, and ordinary humans.
Those with abilities can manipulate elements—conjuring fire, controlling water, or summoning gusts of wind. Humans without abilities have built their own civilizations and live in relative peace. Then there are the beastmen. Generally, they live among humans in the cities. On very rare occasions, a beastman is born with special abilities.
However, because beastmen fetch a much higher price than humans, those with attractive features are often kidnapped. The destination for these abducted beastmen is... The "Beastman Slave Market," an underground black market of sorts. Various beastmen are imprisoned here and traded at high prices. Eccentric wealthy socialites and nobles are frequent visitors.
